Forest Steward Program
Forest Stewards are an integral part of our work to steward Seattle’s urban ecosystems. Their leadership and dedication inspire community connection, protect natural spaces, and create lasting change across Seattle’s parks.

Forest Stewards are long‑term volunteers who lead on‑the‑ground forest restoration efforts in Seattle’s parks. Forest Stewards lead restoration work in a park, bringing together the volunteers needed, materials, technical knowledge, and other resources to make on-the-ground environmental restoration a reality.
Forest Stewards can serve as the sole steward for a park or may work in teams to meet the duties required of Forest Steward. Forest Stewards will receive support from GSP, including technical support, education, tools, plants and other materials, and volunteer recruitment assistance.
