No experience needed. You will get all the training you need at the start of the event. Events are led by trained volunteers or staff. Most events are 2-4 hours long. Depending on the event you will be removing weeds, planting native plants, spreading mulch, and walking around a site to learn about the plants and animals. Each event posting has details about the specific event activities. If you are curious about the kinds of activities you might be doing, visit our learn page. Green Seattle Partnership Events focus on community care. Please do not attend if you are sick or not feeling well. What to wear. Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, and closed toe shoes, that are sturdy enough to protect you from blackberry thorns, and comfortable enough that you can move freely. Long sleeves and pants or leg coverings are recommended. Come prepared to be in the elements, with the layers to protect you from the heat, cold, sun and rain. Look for more information on what to wear, where to meet, and other common questions in the specific event posting.
